Performing Arts: Training
TRAINING

Vocal pedagogy is the study of the teaching of singing. Professions that practice the art and science of vocal pedagogy include vocal coaches, choral directors, vocal music educators, opera directors and other teachers of singing. Vocal pedagogy concepts are a part of developing proper vocal technique.

Dance teachers typically focus on teaching dance performance, or coaching competitive dancers, or both. They typically have performance experience in the types of dance they teach or coach. Dance teachers may be self-employed or employed by dance schools or general education institutions with dance programs. Others are employed by smaller, privately owned dance schools that offer dance training and performance coaching for various types of dance.

An Acting Instructor is a person, usually well educated in theatrical arts, who teaches, or 'instructs', aspiring performers on various acting methods.

The courses offered by drama schools are heavily based on practical work; after all, their aim is to train students as professional actors for stage and camera work. Students are required to be enthusiastic and motivated in order to meet the demands offered by the course.
