Well when last did you get a two for one that knocked your socks off? In December we attended a wedding in the Midlands. So the first matter on the agenda was the wedding but we happened upon the idea of spending a couple of days at JoLo Guest Farm on either side of the wedding festivities. What a win! Peace and tranquility plus awesome hospitality to boot! The local shuttle service made sure that the whole family was safe in the midnight mist and when we had danced the night away the cottage was more than home from home. Exquisitely furnished with a kitchen that boasts those little things that most forget. The view and that country feel ensured that we spent a huge amount of time in bed behind a book that had to be frequently reread as one got lost in the view from the bedroom. John & Lorraine's cattle did their thing to keep our sons entertained and all I could think of was how lucky the folk in Durban and Jhb are to have this retreat but a few hours drive away.
