DB Thermal was founded in South Africa in 1970 and is today a division of DBT Technologies (Pty) Limited with the SPX Corporation holding 74.9% of the shares and 25.1% shareholding by Termico (Pty) Limited, our empowerment partner.

Supporting the Fossil, Renewable and Nuclear fuelled power industry in South Africa with quality systems and components, DB Thermal provides Air Cooled Condensers, Boiler Pressure Parts, Feedwater Heaters, Moisture Separators, Re-Heaters, Air-Preheaters, Bag-houses and Electrostatic Precipitators.
Our 120,000 square metre manufacturing works based in Nigel, south east of Johannesburg, has the capability of producing single piece fabrications of up to 250 tons in accordance to ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Supplementary to manufacture and process equipment, our construction and maintenance division supports the petro-chemical and power generation after-market sector. Our exemplary safety record, which spans over three decades, is one of the key factors in DB Thermal being a leader in health and safety compliance.
