What is a Key to Success?
A key to success in any field is to love what you do first and find a way to thrive in it. This business is way too hard for anyone who’s coming out here for any other reason other than that they just love being a performer. Love breathing life into a character, love story telling, and love being a part of it. You need that type of inner passion and inner joy to withstand the very brutal type of atmosphere that this industry can present.
To attain success in the entertainment industry requires a great amount of work, patience and a positive attitude. Yet it is entirely possible to be successful as a performer if you enjoy your journey, and take everything one day at a time. There is no secret to success. Talent, perseverance, a thick skin and an open heart; those are some of the requirements, however.
Don't pursue Performance Art to be famous. It is a brutally difficult profession where there are thousands competing for few roles. Do it because you love and respect your craft, because you have a passion. There is no other reason.
