Dog sharing policy: Our sharing policy is not to be confused with customers who have two dogs that they wish to have accommodated in a single kennel as this is taken for granted unless otherwise specified. In this instance our kennel rate per night will cover the cost of both dogs. Adding a third family dog increases the rate/night in high season by that off the smallest occupant. Certain breed types are not suited to sharing in a kennel environment unless they are commonly boarded with a known family member. These would include Pit Bull Terriers, Rottweiler’s, Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Terriers, Dobermans, Giant Schnauzers or German Shepherds – to name a few. These breed types - regardless of their apparent good nature at home or well socialised behaviour at your local park, are still considered by us as ‘non-sharing’ breeds and will incur the full kennel 'on-own' rate. Although we have very successfully accommodated several, often unrelated dogs, together in a single large kennel over many years, this boarding option although less expensive is not without risk! Its entirely on your word that we assume your dog is capable of sharing happily with others & for this reason companion sharing needs to be carefully considered. Please be advised that we will use our own discretion and if necessary charge the full rate for a single kennel if there is any aggression from your dog towards others. For safety reasons all Pugs, Pekes or Boston Terriers for example are kept together as these flat faced breeds have no real means of defence when ganged upon. This policy may reduce our capacity – but we sleep a lot better and so will you! Cat sharing policy: Our kennels can accommodate a single cat or a maximum of two cats together in any one of our standard kennels. As many as five cats can be accommodated in our limited optional garden units and all cats, regardless of type are billed out at our standard rate/night.
