Margaret is hands on from taking bookings to facilitating your room, on hand to advise on entertainment, places of interest, best routes, and will assist in directing to the best restaurants, pubs and clubs in the area. Margaret's Place started in 1998 and is now a well rounded venue for travellers.
 Margaret's Place is a privately owned and run establishment that started in 2003. After starting out as two rooms in the house it then expanded to two additional cottages at the foot of the garden and the main house now has three rooms. From the outset Margaret's objective was to offer affordable accommodation for the business traveller, almost exclusively catering for this niche. However, families and "other travellers" are regulars too. This is ideal for the business person. Safe and secure, a get-up-and-go arrangement with just what you need. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchenette, a bath/shower conversion, and a couch to relax on.
Margarets Place garden bird feederFor those with some time on their hands, there is a swimming pool where you can relax with a paper, magazine or your laptop. The garden attracts and is conducive to birdlife - which are appreciated and looked after through our feeders. Our guests, just like our birds, are given their space and privacy.
For the business traveller, Margaret's Place is ideally located in one of the most nostalgic suburbs of Johannesburg - off the beaten track, in the quaint area of Kensington, and really close to just about anything you could imagine.
